How to Turn a Strategy into a Marketing Campaign
How do you turn a strategy into a complete campaign?
The simplest answer: hard work.
The long answer: it’s complicated.
This step is about turning the “what if” into “what is.” You have to somehow turn imagination into reality.
There are two things you have to get right before you start though.

Get Out of Your Own Head
As the expert in your business, it’s easy to get lost in the details trying to get everything just right. You need to explain things correctly and use your knowledge that you have invested your time and effort to attain. But in marketing, your knowledge can quickly become an obstacle to success.
Most of your audience is nowhere near the expert level required to understand the ins and outs of your business. If they were, they would be in your business. And if they’re in your business, are they the people you really want to sell to?
The people who will actually buy from you have their own concerns and needs. If you want to sell to them, you need to express how what you provide helps them achieve their goals. This takes getting out of your own way of thinking and start thinking like your customer to figure out what they need to hear.
Solve For “Why”
A lot of companies go into marketing with the attitude of checking off the marketing box because it’s something they need to do. If you ask them why they need it, they would say that they want to make more money from their business and this is what businesses do.
If you are only doing marketing because it is the thing to do, you’re not going to be able to build success. You need to have your “why” for your marketing clear in order to build a campaign that is worthwhile. Your purpose for your campaign will dictate the look, feel, and direction of your campaign.
In order to figure that out, take some time to ask yourself a few questions. What do you want to achieve with your campaign? How will your campaign help you achieve your company’s goal? Why will your audience find it valuable?

Once you have answered the questions above and figured out how to talk to your audience in a way they will understand, you will be ready to start turning your strategy into an actual campaign.
