1) How much are you currently spending per year?

Don’t just consider how much you spent this month. That will give you a very shallow view of your marketing spending. Consider how much it costs you over one year or even two. After you have looked at how much you spend each year on the various costs of marketing you can ask the next question.

2) How much is the totaled cost of doing marketing when compared to a similar service from another company and how are the services different?

We don’t recommend buying blind. Educated and informed clients are better to work with even though we make less. 3) Ask the company you work with if they offer payment plans.

In fact, a good marketing company will require payments at certain milestones and not necessarily all up front. All you have to do is ask about extended payment plans.

4) How much are you getting back? What is your ROI?

Most small companies we work with don’t know how much, if any, they get back from their marketing? Ultimately your marketing should pay for itself if you are doing it right. And it should ideally pay you a lot more.
